Message to Moderator

Dear moderator,

My name is Sian Holland and this is my blog which contains all of the work I completed during the G324 A2 Coursework Advanced Portfolio Unit within Media Studies. The brief asked that I create a promotional package containing a music video, digipak, and advert for a musical artist. I created my promo package for the artist Halsey to her song ‘Hurricane’. The genre of my chosen artist is dream-pop.

My blog is best viewed using Google Chrome. The completed project took approximately 6 months to make.

Company Logo

This is my company logo. I created it via Adobe Photoshop. My company logo was made to reflect the nature of the music I was making my video to. Although the lyrics may sound more violent and active, the music is quite slow and calmer in comparison to other tracks. Dream pop is a relaxed genre, relating to ideas of psychedelia. Therefore, using the word 'tranquil' as the name of my record company was an easy choice. I used a double exposure effect to put the image of a calm sea inside the word 'tranquil' to reflect the nature of the word. Also, the blue colour is pale which gives a relaxed vibe further.

Evaluation update

All evaluation questions have been completed and uploaded to my blog except from question one - this is due to uploading errors, however the question is complete and will be linked to my evaluation website in the very near future.
